Summary

Hello! I'm Justin! In 1889 Theodore Roosevelt became a father to Kermit Roosevelt. Kermit Roosevelt fought a lifelong nettle with depression and alcoholism and eventually committed suicide by a gunshot to his head in 1943. In December 1913 Theodore Roosevelt at 55 years old went on a journey to explore Brazil’s River of Doubt. It was unexplored and extremely dangerous. Both Theodore and Kermit got Malaria during the expedition. Theodore, Kermit, and their men with them were exposed to diseases, hunger, Roosevelt was running for his third term in presidency but lost to democrat Woodrow Wilson. This made Theodore forced to fight off depression and despair. Later, Theodore Roosevelt sailed to South America to get away from the embarrassment of losing the election. Theodore Roosevelt died from a blood clot in 1919.
